Trama:
Film riassuntivo della seconda parte di "Tengen Toppa: Gurren - Lagann". In un lontanissimo futuro i frequenti terremoti hanno costretto l'umanità a vivere in villaggi sotterranei in continua espansione grazie al lavoro di alcuni scavatori. Tra di loro c'è Simon, un ragazzo che ha perso i genitori in tenera età a causa di un terremoto e che durante uno dei suoi scavi ha trovato uno strano oggetto luminoso a forma di trivella. Film riassuntivo della seconda parte di "Tengen Toppa: Gurren - Lagann". In un lontanissimo futuro i frequenti terremoti hanno costretto l'umanità a vivere in villaggi sotterranei in continua espansione grazie al lavoro di alcuni scavatori. Tra di loro c'è Simon, un ragazzo che ha perso i genitori in tenera età a causa di un terremoto e che durante uno dei suoi scavi ha trovato uno strano oggetto luminoso a forma di trivella. Qui entra in gioco Kamina, un giovane scapestrato che vive nello stesso villaggio sotterraneo di Simon e che sogna di poter raggiungere la superficie assieme a lui. Un giorno un enorme robot sfonda il soffitto della caverna e inizia a distruggere il villaggio. Kamina decide spavaldamente di affrontare il nemico, armato solo di una katana, ma viene interrotto da una misteriosa ragazza che entra in scena sparando. Si tratta di Yoko, un'abitante del villaggio di Ritona che stava inseguendo il Ganmen, il robot gigante. Qui scoprono che i Ganmen, pilotati dagli uomini-bestia, attaccano costantemente gli esseri umani e sono anche la causa dei terremoti. Mentre difendono Ritona, Kamina riesce ad impadronirsi di uno di questi Ganmen e lo chiama Gurren. Il trio deciderà di partire verso la base nemica per porre fine a queste battaglie.
