Trama: La serie si occupa principalmente di seguire la vita scolastica di Tenma Tsukamoto, una giovane ragazza del secondo anno piena di vita e non troppo acuta alle prese con il suo tormentato amore per lo strano Oji Karasuma. Nella stessa classe si trova anche Kenji Harima il quale, invaghito della ragazza, per Tenma da teppista di strada è diventato uno studente volenteroso. Il triangolo è ricco di incomprensioni che portano avanti la trama fino allo scontro finale (solo immaginato da Harima), o meglio fino alla conclusione inconcludente della serie in cui tutte le posizioni restano praticamente invariate.
