Trama: Datata 2002 e prodotta dalla Sunrise questa era in quel momento una delle serie più promettenti del panorama televisivo nipponico. Witch Hunter Robin mi ricorda un po’ Hellsing, anche se i titoli sono in realtà piuttosto diversi, con un diverso stile narrativo e impostazione. Le similitudini riguardano quasi unicamente le tematiche soprannaturali e un'ambientazione cupa. Witch Hunter Robin è più lento, parte e va avanti abbastanza piano ed in modo più introspettivo, offrendo più spazio ai personaggi e dedicando più tempo alla loro crescita. Risulta sicuramente meno spettacolare e frenetico, ma se ciò non comporta una realizzazione tecnica peggiore… anzi, ritengo che sotto questo aspetto riesca a battere Hellsing senza troppi problemi. La trama parte da uno spunto abbastanza semplice: gli stregoni (e ovvio, le streghe) sono stati in passato sterminati e decimati, ma ancora oggi girano di nascosto nel nostro mondo. Tuttavia di recente la loro attività si è fatta più intensa, e per contrastarli è stata fondata una società che raduna persone abili e specializzate nel combatterli. I nostri protagonisti sono alcuni di loro, ognuno con un passato burrascoso ed oscuro... Se vi piacciono le tematiche trattate, vi consiglio di seguire questa serie TV, sarà sicuramente in grado di interessarvi.
